Laboratory and X-ray
Blood work to monitor blood cell levels is a routine component of cancer
care. Patients can visit the center’s convenient laboratory as directed
by the physician. Patients also often require X-rays to evaluate
treatment progress. X-rays are processed and forwarded quickly to the
physician for assessment, eliminating delays in this vital information.John E. Lindgren Patient and Family Resource Room
Dedicated as a memorial to local television journalist John Lindgren,
the John E. Lindgren Patient and Family Resource Room provides a
wealth of cancer-related educational resources for oncology patients and
their families, medical staff, center staff and the community. The
center, which is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., includes a
Touch Screen “Cancer Help Network” computer for up-to-date cancer
information, dedicated Internet computer for cancer information direct
links, videotape library for viewing at home or in the room and a book
library. Materials are purchased using donations from the community.Community Conference Center
The center’s inviting state-of-the-art conference/meeting room features
full audio and video technologies and a fully equipped kitchen for
hosting patient programs, support groups and educational activities.
