Just for Women

Look Good…Feel Better: teaches female cancer patients a variety of beauty techniques to enhance their appearance. The Look Good…Feel Better classes are held at the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge every first Monday of the month from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Women attending the Look Good…Feel Better class will receive complimentary cosmetics. Pre-registration is required. To make a reservation, contact Michele Heim at 859-260-8281.

The I Can Cope program helps cancer patients and those close to them learn about diagnosis and treatment while meeting others who are facing similar experiences. Breast Cancer Support Groups

Reach to Recovery: An American Cancer Society peer support program for women with a concern about breast cancer. Colostomy/Ostomy Support

(Lexington) Ostomy Support Group: A support group for individuals with ostomies. Meets at Central Baptist Hospital. Call 859-260-6308.

Prostate Cancer Support

Man to Man: An American Cancer Society support and education program for people affected by prostate cancer. Spouses are welcome to attend. Guest speakers vary by month. Individual support is available from a survivor upon request. Meets in Lexington and other areas of the state. For information, please call 1-800-ACS-2345 or 276-3223.

Man to Man is a prostate cancer support group to help men cope by providing information and peer support to assist in their recovery. Classes are held on the second Tuesday of the month at Central Baptist Hospital Cancer Resource Center, Building E, on the 7th floor at 6:40 p.m.

Thyroid Cancer Support
