About Our Cancer Center
For over three decades, Lexington Clinic has been providing Medical, Radiation and Surgical Oncology services to Central and Eastern Kentucky. Lexington Clinic’s commitment to excellence in cancer treatment began in 1971, when John D. Cronin, M.D. joined Lexington Clinic and began the Hematology Section. Dr. Cronin was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and held additional certification in Hematology and Oncology, making him the only trained oncologist in Kentucky east of Louisville. Lexington Clinic’s continuing pursuit of the highest quality medical care has kept it on the cutting edge of technology and medicine. In 1999, Lexington Clinic began working towards the development of a full-service cancer center providing the highest quality patient care and cancer treatment services to Central and Eastern Kentucky. On November 11, 2001, The John D. Cronin Cancer Center at Lexington Clinic opened its doors.

The John D. Cronin Cancer Center occupies the first floor of the Saint Joseph Office Park, Building A and includes Medical, Radiation and Surgical Oncology. The center combines experienced cancer care professionals and state-of-the-art technology in one convenient and comfortable setting. The collaborative efforts of highly qualified and compassionate physicians and staff make this center a model of superior patient care for cancer treatment, while smiling faces, a comfortably furnished waiting room, and soothing music help to relax and reassure.

There is hope…
With communication, comes understanding and clarity:
With understanding, fear diminishes:
In the absence of fear, hope emerges: And in the presence of hope, anything is possible.
